God is at the origin of all things through acts of creation
God made things that could change, adapt and evolve through time
God sustains creation in being: God’s name is I AM; He is Being, existence itself
God chose Earth as a place to create life – He created various basic forms of life
Life was made as microscopic cells run by DNA
Evolution is change, modification and adaptation of what exists
Evolution occurs in a particular environment, bringing about adaptation in a given way relevant to that environment.
The random mutations that underpin evolution are non-specific. All sorts of different mutations can cause the same effect.
Complexity underpins the ability to evolve
What exists was created
Creation was through the embodiment of information. Information encodes the forms of creatures. Information is carried by DNA.
Evolution works through genetic switching-off caused by mutation. Mutations are selected by natural selection to produce a wide variety of forms. However, evolution at the genetic level involves loss of information and for this reason it is entropic.
The pruning of complex information allows for adaptation and survival in a wide range of environments.

Universe
Space and time vast in extent
Swirling galaxies containing millions of stars, planetary systems orbiting stars and a Solar system with a great diversity of planets. Gravity conducts a cosmic evolution over billions of years in an expanding universe.
The universe once the size of our solar system, is now a very big place.
Deep time
The formation of planet Earth
Earth history is counted in millions of years. Single cell life forms transformed a sterile planet into the biofriendly environment – the one we see today. The fossil record testifies to the many ecosystems that have existed on Earth over more than 570 million years.
Evolution
Life adapts and evolves
Species diversify as they adapt to new environments and ecological niches within an environment. To survive, life must evolve as this is how each species finds its place. Natural selection is a process constantly at work in the triage of DNA variants. The result is the appearance of new species although all belong to existing groups.

My first love was science from my earliest years, my faith is Christian. I believe in the findings of modern science and that God is the Creator. The Lord has shown me a middle way in which both science and Biblical faith make sense. In fact, science can move forward in productive ways when divine light is shone on it.

Theistic Evolution?
Does my belief in evolution make me a Theistic Evolutionist?
I could be one by some people’s definition. So maybe yes, but probably no.
For Evolutionists, evolution is everything, although God may have a small part to play. Or God may be given a metaphysical part to play by conferring ‘meaning’ while causing nothing to happen in the real world.
This, in my view, is mistaken: it is creation that is everything, while evolution is not.
Creation encompasses all that exists; all that exists returns to the ultimate purposes of God; creation is origin via embodied information; information is embodied at the microscopic level of atoms and molecules, cells and DNA.
I am working on a motto which is: ‘created complexity – evolved diversity’ or CC-ED.
Genesis
The creation week consisted of six days of divine work and the 7th day of rest. The image is figurative, but the meaning of it is true. The 7th day of rest symbolizes that creation was complete and completed in perfection.
Creating is not a continuing activity, while the sustaining of creation is constant.
Theology
Humans were made out of dust, the same as other creatures but in the image of God. The in-breathing of a soul supplied the part that can receive the spirit of God, know God and know self.
The Fall of Adam and Eve is about spiritual death of the soul through sin; it is not about physical death. Adam and Eve did not die; they were thrown out of Paradise to the world outside the Garden and met with toil and pain.
The human soul was created in Paradise and made for Paradise.
Heaven
If God were not capable of creating life on Earth, then there would be no life after death in heaven. Both the initial creation in the beginning and the re-creation of the new heaven and new earth at the end of time rely on God being the Creator and Giver of life.
God is a God who acts. There is no universe, no life on Earth and no life after death without a God who has the power to do all these things.
The universe had a beginning, a genesis, an origin in the Creator God
Why not begin again, taking a new look at what the Bible says and what this means, rethinking modern science in a new light.
